Last time I attempted #The100DayProject I failed. I crashed and burned and gave up. This year, after thinking about it with a little more brain I decided to give it a go, but with a broader, more flexible theme. This year I decided that symmetry, doubles, pairs, twins worked much easier for myself and my lifestyle, and I already had a a head start with some images that could work within my theme in case of other things cropping up.
Is that setting myself up for failure? Probably. I don't care though. In attempt to hold myself accountable I'll also try to record not just my own, but others projects weekly, because sharing is caring.
Kiera Ashleigh, from Artistic Fascination is curating for The 100 Day Project, sharing other artists and creatives each day for the 100 days. I love this idea, and I think it shows the full breadth of how people can adapt and work within briefs. I'm looking forward to following Kiera's instagram to see what creatives she shares, as I'm a big believer that the art we like can and does say so much about us.
For the first week Kiera has concentrated on pastels and I love how the pieces subtly reflect each other, there is a beautiful contrast between abstracts and figurative pieces.
