October - Stats, Photos and Links
It's been one of those months. Too much working, not enough down time and I'm stuck with a fear. Nevermind, October is almost over and November looms.
- This interview with a woman who had an abortion at 32 weeks stayed with me a long time after reading. I am a big supporter of women having the availability to abortion, and always have been. After reading the article I then went on to watch After Tiller, as a Brit, the American laws and healthcare system are shocking and bizarre, as is the religious zealous. As always I am so so thankful for the NHS.
- On a very similar vein, Cecily Kellogg writes on losing her much wanted baby in response to Donald Trump's comments on abortion.
- Broadly covers the racist and sexist history of keeping birth control side-effects secret. I know I'm not the only one who has struggled in the past with hormonal birth control, and their are so many articles coming out about the links between depression.
- Could you tell if a quote was said by a rapist or written in a lads mag? The Independent asked some male students to see if they could, the results are nothing women would be surprised about.
